Our giving is important to the future of the church. In addition to the pastor's salary, we have many costs, such as insurance on church property, electricity, cleaning and maintenance. We have something special at St. John, a beautiful building, a great view of the countryside, a pipe organ that resonates with God's love and glory. But more than that is the special fellowship, whether it is coming together in the cold darkness for the candlelit Christmas Eve service, or the Easter Sunrise service when the dew is still on the grass, the Polka Worship which provides a different kind of rhythm to Sunday morning, or the Advent Fair with its food, crafts, and fun. One way to ensure our future is to print out the Automatic Draft form, complete it and attach your voided check and return it to the church office. On the 15th of the month, your checking or savings account will be drafted for the amount you specify. This allows you to give consistently, even when you don't make it to church. If you don't wish to participate in this way, remember your regular offering is important.
II Corinthians 9:7
"So let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."
