Who We Are & What We Believe

We are a rural congregation in Central Texas located about 50 miles north of Austin and 20 miles south of Temple.  German farmers established the congregation, but times have changed, and now only a small percentage of our members are directly involved in farming. And, alas, only a few of us can still speak German.  However, we are still very much a rural congregation and you really feel it when you look out upon the adjoining countryside.

Our Mission:
To Gather As God's People
To Grow Spiritually
To Go Empowered by the Holy Spirit
To Share The Gospel as We Serve

We are a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  For more information about what we believe and confess, visit ELCA's web page.
